be faithful to your true nature and believe in your own uniqueness

Only 2 spots left! - Special: book with a friend and save $50 each.

This 3 day peace and pamper retreat is "all about you". Give yourself time and stillness to go deep within and connect to the sacred person that resides within. Your true self.

Group sessions, a pamper morning, twice daily meditations and a beautiful environment set in Hepburn Springs will provide you with the opportunity to Relax, Rejuvenate and Reconnect.

During this wonderful retreat you will experience the following:

Two nights accommodation (twin share) at the beautiful Shizuka Ryokan Japanese Innat Hepburn Springs (just 5 minutes from Daylesford).

A lovely cooked breakfast on both mornings and dinner on both evenings including a 4 course beautiful Japanese banquet on the Saturday night.

Daily 3 hour group sessions working with EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) to De-Stress you, work through and release the things that are holding you back and finally connect you with your true self bringing a sense of peace and relaxation to your body and mind.

Twice daily 20 min guided meditations (from meditation teacher Andie Back of Calm Essentials) to compliment the theme of the retreat.

A pamper morning of 3 hours where you choose an activity that will rejuvenate you. Maybe it's a wonderful relaxing massage or facial or perhaps a soak at the Hepburn Day Spa. Perhaps you would like to go into Daylesford and explore the treasures that await you in the quaint shopping village. This experience is for you and it's an opportunity for some time out doing something that will rejuvenate your soul. (note: I have not included this activity in the price to allow you the freedom to chose what is right for you)

Opportunity for bush walks or time for yourself to lounge about and read if you so desire!

Shizuka Ryokan does not have t.v or internet connection to really allow you to disconnect from the outside world. It is also highly recommended that your mobile phone is switched off or even left at home during the retreat! A contact number for emergencies can be provided.

Michelle's blog from a recent visit to Shizuka Ryokan Jan 2011:

Down a quiet lane way amongst the gum trees you come across an unusual building. Once inside you are transported to another time and place. Shoes are removed at the front door and are replaced with slippers. The welcome is very warm.

As we walk into our room, slippers are removed to allow us to walk across the silky Tatami flooring. The room is small and simple. Just for a moment I wonder how I will manage without contact with the outside world. Beautiful music is playing and I can hear the sound of running water coming from the private garden just outside the room. I can feel my self beginning to settle, starting to relax and unwind.

I head off for a Shiatsu massage which my body loves. It's just beautiful and my weary body is energised and balanced in an hour simply by gently pressing on my pressure points.

After a walk through the surrounding roads it's time for a scrummy four course Japanese banquet. As we sit on the deck at dusk with butterflies fluttering about us we are treated to some beautiful fresh food, simply prepared that tastes divine. Again I am loving the simplicity of the Japanese culture. It really allows you to appreciate what you are experiencing.

I am not even missing the lack of television or computer and I have turned my mobile phone off. As sleep time nears I can feel myself sink further into relaxation and bliss as I am forced to spend time with myself. It's really nice and that moment of uneasiness when I first came into the room is being replaced with a dislike of my ridiculously crazy life at home.

While a futon is not my first choice of comfort while sleeping, being so close to the floor is actually somewhat grounding and I feel being in bare feet really helps to keep me in the present moment.

We awaken to the beautiful sound of rain on the roof and a much cooler day. Breakfast is divine and very filling giving our bodies plenty of fuel for a bike ride around the surrounding areas including a visit to the Hepburn Day Spa.

Lunch time we head back home both feeling blissed out and calm and don't even bother to turn the phones back on, instead choosing to spend the time in conversation with each other..
